Adrian, you've got it! All these ideas passing through your mind are ideas in the method. Being able to identify implied emotion while listening, and helping a person unfold it--or deciding not to--is a part of the skillset of a deep listener. Identifying these three types of interior cognition concepts in a transcript is part of the first step of empirical qual data synthesis. You're on exactly the right track! :D
